Learning that is designed, not just delivered

More than 20 years teaching ICT and interactive-media subjects at diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels, built on the belief that every student learns differently, and technology should make learning both rigorous and enjoyable.

My Philosophy of Teaching

Technology is constantly transforming, and it is my responsibility to make sure my students are exposed to the latest tools. Towards the revolution of Education 4.0, learners act as connectors, creators and constructivists. I apply the theory of Multiple Intelligences in my teaching strategies, because I believe students learn in different ways.

Incorporating fun elements into learning activities is a powerful way to engage students. Learning should be challenging. It needs students to think deeply and cannot be achieved by guessing. In e-learning, the cognitivist approach involves thinking and the formation of new knowledge.

Every student has different potential and learning styles. Successful gamification adapts to a student's intelligence and provides suitable materials for them to master their skills. A creative educator must constantly generate new ideas and interactive materials relevant to advancing technology.

To live this belief, I continuously examine my teaching methods and seek new ones, creating opportunities for students to improve, updating digital content with ease, and using appropriate 4.0 technology so that learning stays engaging.
